Oak Forest Man Dies Of Coronavirus: Medical Examiner
A 61-year-old man whose home address is the same as the Bjorklund House died Friday at Palos Community Hospital.
PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — A 61-year-old man from Oak Forest has died as a result of contracting the new coronavirus. The man, whose home address is listed as the same address listed for the Bjorklund House for intellectually and developmentally disabled adults, died on March 27 at Palos Community Hospital, according to information gathered from Cook County Medical Examiner's Office ledgers.
The man died as a result of "acute hypoxic respiratory failure due to COVID-19 infection," with pulmonary fibrosis of unknown etiology as a contributing factor the office said. His manner of death is listed as natural.
A report surfaced earlier this week that four residents of the Bjorklund House, all between 35 and 65 years old, had tested positive for the coronavirus.
