OAK FOREST, IL β€” The arrest of a former Oak Forest Cub Scout committee chairman on child pornography charges does not appear to be tied with incidents involving his time with the Boy Scouts of America, police said.

"Our investigation was very narrow in scope and did not involve any incidents with the Boy Scouts of America," said Michael Szos, Buffalo Grove's deputy chief of police.

Jason Akai, 44, of Oak Forest is being held at the Lake County Jail on $1 million bond in connection with solicitation of child pornography and production of child pornography of a child under 13. Both are Class X felonies.
