Oak Forest Mom 'Is Always Stepping Up To The Plate To Help' Her Family

OAK FOREST, IL— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?

My mom is amazing mother and grandma. She is completely selfless. She puts her grandkids first. She is always stepping up to the plate to help her kids watch their kids. She never will turn down an offer to babysit and will reschedule her personal stuff to help. She gives the best advice and always listens. She has used her retirement to help provide care for her family when needed too.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

There are many reasons why my mother deserves recognition and appreciation on Mother's Day.
My mom often make sacrifices for family, putting their needs ahead of her own. She also acts as role model, teaching my brother and I important values and life skills.
