OAK FOREST, IL— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

What makes your Mom extra special?
My mom has always held our family to together while my dad worked three jobs to provide for us while I was younger. She has fought and battled cancer four times.
Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?
[My mom] was determined to provide me and my sister with a wonderful life.
