Oak Forest Mom Is 'The World's Best Mother,' Daughter Says

OAK FOREST, IL— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?

My mom has always been the world's best mother. Since I was a baby, she has always been my best friend and she always has been the best mother any child can ever ask for. My mom has always told me that I am the brightest girl in her life. She also has been through a lot of tough times. She almost lost her life to Covid a few years ago, but she was strong enough to push through. Whenever I feel down, she will just come to me and sit and chat, or just give me the worlds warmest hug.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?
