Oak Forest Seeks Bids For Fourth Of July Fireworks Display
The City has issued a request for proposals for an Oak Forest fireworks display in 2024. It would be the first display since 2019.
OAK FOREST, IL β After several years without July 4 fireworks in Oak Forest, City officials are eyeing a comeback for a display.
The City on Monday announced it has issued a public call for bids for a July 4, 2024 fireworks show in Oak Forest, to be held at 157th and Long, according to proposal requirements.
The July 4, 2024 show would be the first since the termination of Oak Fest, the annual festival that ended in 2019, confirmed Oak Forest Communications Director Chrissy Maher. The fest was canceled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with its organizers then permanently disbanding afterward.
