Oak Forest Shooting Near Camp Sullivan Injures Man
A 20-year-old man was shot early Monday morning near Camp Sullivan in unincorporated Oak Forest.
OAK FOREST, IL — A 20-year-old man was shot early Monday morning in unincorporated Oak Forest near Camp Sullivan.
The man, who authorities have not yet identified, was shot at about 3:30 a.m. in the 14600 block of Justamere Road, said Sam Randall, a spokesman with the Cook County Sheriff's Office. Justamere Road is in unincorporated Oak Forest near Camp Sullivan.
The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where his condition was stable.

The shooting did not take place on Forest Preserves property, and the man was not camping at Camp Sullivan, said Carl Vogel, director of communications for the Forest Preserves of Cook County.
An investigation is ongoing.
