Oak Forest Voters Guide: Races To Watch, Election Day Voting
Polls open at 6 a.m. Tuesday.

OAK FOREST, IL β Election Day is upon us, and all eyes are turned to the results of the presidential race of Vice President Kamala Harris against former President Donald Trump. If you didn't get a chance to vote early, polls open at 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
Besides the presidential race, there are also several referenda and races locally and state-wide.
Races to watch in Oak Forest
- IL Senate 19th District: Democrat Michael Hastings vs. Republican Samantha Jean Gasca
- IL 6th Congressional District: Incumbent Democrat Sean Casten vs. Republican Niki Conforti
Races to watch in Cook County:
- Cook County State's Attorney
- Eileen O'Neill Burke (Democrat)
- Robert W. Fioretti (Republican)

Registering to vote
Not sure if youβre registered to vote, or need to change your address? You can find out here. If you aren't registered by Election Day, you'll need to register in person at a grace period registration site. Call ahead to ensure that your polling place offers same-day registration. If you register to vote in person, youβll need two forms of ID, and at least one must show your current address.
Election Day
Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. If you are already in line to vote when the polls close, you can still vote β so don't leave!
