Deadline Nears To Apply For Oak Forest's Hometown Hero Program
The City of Oak Forest seeks names of current or former residents who are members of the U.S. Armed Forces.

OAK FOREST, IL —The City of Oak Forest is continuing its effort to honor local members of the United States Armed Forces.
The Hometown Hero program uses banners displayed along Cicero Avenue to honor current or former Oak Forest residents, who have served or are currently serving in any branch of the United States Armed Forces.
Each banner includes name, photo, rank, and branch of the military. The double-sided banners cost $75 each and will be displayed on Cicero Avenue for two years from Memorial Day to Veterans Day. Banners will be presented to the applicants after the two-year display period upon request.

Photos must be at least 5x7, in uniform preferred and in good condition.
Applications are due Monday, April 22.
