Oak Forest's Jolly Jamboree Set To Kick Off Holiday Season

Oak Forest residents are invited to enjoy the city's holiday activities, Saturday, Dec. 2.

OAK FOREST, IL β€” Oak Forest will welcome the holiday season with a very jolly gathering set for Saturday, Dec. 2.

The city's Jolly Jamboree will take place at City Hall, 15440 S. Central Ave., from 10 a.m. to noon.
Santa will be there, parked inside the building and ready to hear wish lists. Visits with Santa will be captured by Blink of an Eye Photography, the City said. Guests will have two packages to choose from (cash or check), with photos printed on-site. Caricatures will also be created on-site by artist Mark Odewald.

Next door at Oak Forest Fire Station 1, 5620 James Dr., DJ Loren of Fun, Fun, Fun DJs will play holiday music as visitors decorate cookies (while supplies last), visit with Bluey, or have your face painted. Trim-a-tree contest winners will be announced at 10:30 a.m.

Outside, step inside the Giant Inflatable Snow Globe to be transported into a winter wonderland. The globe creates a magical atmosphere, and with its transparent walls, makes for an unforgettable photo opportunity.

For safety reasons, there will be no parking available in the City Hall lot during the event. However, limited handicap spaces will be available in front of City Hall. You must have a handicap placard or license plate to park in this designated area. All other attendees are asked to park legally on side streets near City Hall. Anyone needing to visit the police station during event hours, please park on the side street and walk over or call 708-687-1376 (non-emergency number) to speak to an officer.
