OFHS Senior A Dedicated Volunteer, 'Lifts Everyone Up': Star Student
OFHS senior and soccer player Nolan leads by a strong example. He's a dedicated athlete and percussionist, as well as active volunteer.

OAK FOREST, IL — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Michael Stacy who nominated Nolan. Senior (12th Grade) of Oak Forest.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
If you ask any of Nolan Price's friends, they will tell you that he is the most compassionate, caring and kind friend that they have. If you ask Nolan's friends' parents, they will tell you the same. He may be soft-spoken, but he is a people person and very funny. Whatever volunteer opportunity that is available, Nolan is the first to raise his hand to help. He is currently an aide in the Proud gym class for disabled students. Nolan has played on the soccer team and has been a percussionist in the band throughout his 4 years of high school. He has managed to balance sports, activities, and classes while working a part-time job. Nolan is an honor student and his favorite class happens to be one of the most difficult classes at Oak Forest High School: psychology. Nolan plans to major in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at Carroll University in Waukesha, WI.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
Nolan lifts everyone up around him leading by example and providing encouragement.
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Nolan!
