OAK FOREST, IL — A waitress at an Orland Park Hooters qualified to compete this summer in the "Miss Hooters International" competition, a spokeswoman for the restaurant chain told Patch.

Tanna Patino has been an employee at the Hooters on 15300 South La Grange Road for two years. The 21-year-old was selected to represent all Chicagoland Hooters in the pageant-style competition, which boasts a cash prize of $30,000.

"When I found out I was shocked," Patino said in a statement. "I have never been in a pageant and I am looking forward to gaining confidence, social skills and friendships."
