Person Shot By Masked Attacker Outside Bar In South Suburbs: Police

MIDLOTHIAN, IL — A person was shot in the neck overnight outside a bar in Midlothian, according to police.

Officers responded just before 1 a.m. Sunday to Coaches Sports Bar & Grill in the 14600 block of Waverly Avenue, where a male outside on the sidewalk was approached by two masked people, one of whom pulled out a handgun and shot the victim, police said.

The victim was taken to an area hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening and detectives had people in custody as of late Sunday morning, according to police.
