Propane Tank Explodes, Sets Fire To Oak Forest House: Officials
The fire happened Sunday around 3 p.m. in the 15200 block of Lavergne Avenue.
OAK FOREST, IL — No one was injured when a propane tank exploded in a backyard and a house caught fire Sunday afternoon in Oak Forest, officials told Patch.
All parties were home at the time of the fire in the 15200 block of Lavergne, and no one was injured, officials told Patch. Oak Forest firefighters responded quickly and were able to extinguish the fire quickly.
Officials said it appeared the family had been grilling in the yard when the tank exploded, with flames briefly reaching the house.
