Registration Open For Oak Forest's 'I Am An American' Day Parade

Register by Aug. 23 to walk, ride or dance in Oak Forest's 'I Am An American' Day Parade.

OAK FOREST, IL — Registration is open for Oak Forest's 8th Annual "I Am An American" Parade.

Participants can walk or ride with the Oak Forest Veterans Commission in the parade that begins at Hillie Middle School and leads to the Old Times Picnic at the Oak Forest Park District.

Families can join in by decorating bikes, wagons or strollers. The parade will travel along Central Avenue from 151st Street to 156th Street, and will end at the Oak Forest Park District lot.

Registration ends Fri., Aug. 23.

The parade will start at 11 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 1.
