Resurfacing Project Of 127th Street/Burr Oak Avenue Begins May 20
IDOT announced that workers will resurface 127th Street/Burr Oak Ave. from east of I-294 to Artesian Avenue in Alsip and Blue Island.
OAK FOREST, IL — The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that workers will be resurfacing 127th Street/Burr Oak Avenue from east of Interstate 294 to Artesian Avenue in Alsip and Blue Island. It will require intermittent lane closures beginning May 20.
The work is expected to be complete by November.
The project also involves median rehabilitation and pedestrian improvements.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
