Sexual Assault, Battery, Gun Charges Against Oak Forest Man: Police
Johnny McCaskill, 40, faces more than a half dozen charges following a police search of a home in the 15100 block of Long Avenue.
OAK FOREST, IL — An Oak Forest man faces several charges stemming from allegations of sexual assault, battery and unlawful restraint.
Police in the early morning hours of July 11 were called to the 15100 block of Long Avenue for a report of shots fired and sexual assault. The victim—an adult female—had fled, police said. No one else was found on the property. Police would not disclose additional details about the incident as of Thursday morning.
Police obtained a search warrant for the residence, later taking Johnny McCaskill, 40, into custody after a traffic stop.

McCaskill was charged aggravated criminal sexual assault, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated unlawful restraint, aggravated discharge of a firearm, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and reckless discharge of a firearm.
A bond hearing for McCaskill is set for Thursday, July 13 at the Bridgeview Court House. Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Ryan Burnett at 708-687-1376.
