Shots Fired Into Oak Forest Home Under Investigation: Cops
Bullet holes were discovered at the home after a resident called police last month.

OAK FOREST, IL — Police are investigating a report of shots fired into an Oak Forest home last month after damage similar to that caused by gunfire was discovered, the Daily Southtown reports. No one was hurt in the incident, the report added.
A resident in the 6100 block of Boca Rio Drive told Oak Forest police that shots had been fired during the morning of Feb. 25, the report stated. Investigators discovered what appeared to be bullet holes in the house's exterior and living room wall, and the homeowner found a large-caliber, jacketed bullet near his front door, the report added.
That same morning, one of the resident's neighbors reported hearing five gunshots, the report stated. Police also received a report the afternoon of Feb. 25 that a pellet gun had been used to shoot out a window at a house in the 5100 block of 156th Street — nearly 2 miles east from the Boca Rio incident — but it's not known if the reports are related.
