South Suburban DUI Arrests, April 21

ORLAND PARK

March 16: Anthony M. Przytula, 48, of the 6100 block of LaGrange Court in Oak Forest, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08 and speeding, according to a report. Przytula was seen traveling 59mph in a 45mph zone at about 11:53 p.m. in the 16500 block of 80th Avenue. During a traffic stop, Przytula appeared to have difficulty rolling down his window. An officer reported smelling a strong odor of alcohol coming from the driver’s breath. He took field sobriety tests and a breath test before he was arrested. He is due in Bridgeview court on May 7.

CHICAGO HEIGHTS

April 7: Barry D. Jackson, 36, of the 500 block of Dixie Highway in Chicago Heights, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08, following too closely and improper lane use, according to a report. Jackson was stopped at about 10:38 p.m. near the intersection of 14th Street and Division Street. Police said he was tailgating another car. An officer reported smelling a strong odor of alcohol coming from Jackson’s breath. He was arrested after taking field sobriety tests. While in custody, Jackson took a breath test. He is due in Markham court on May 7.

April 6: Erica N. Williams, 27, of the first block of Olympic Village in Chicago Heights, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08, driving without lights when required, improper lane use and driving without insurance, according to a report. Williams was stopped after she was spotted driving the wrong way on a one-way street at about 2:50 a.m. near the intersection of Mackler Drive and Highland Avenue. Police reported smelling a strong odor of alcohol coming from her breath. She was arrested after taking field sobriety tests. Williams is due in Markham court on May 23.

PALOS HEIGHTS

April 14: Ian D. Dunworth, 32, of the 4800 block of West 109th Street in Oak Lawn, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use, according to a report. Police stopped Dunworth at about 3:24 a.m. near 13000 S. Harlem Ave., after he was seen making a lane violation. An officer reported smelling a strong odor of alcohol coming from the driver. Dunworth was arrested after taking field sobriety tests. He is due in Bridgeview court on May 17.

April 12: Clayton P. Hanes, 26, of the 9900 block of South 52nd Avenue in Oak Lawn, was charged with driving under the influence, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08, improper lane use and speeding, according to a report. Hanes was stopped at about 12:23 a.m. near 12100 S. Harlem Ave. An officer speaking with the driver noticed signs he had been drinking. Police arrested Hanes after he took field sobriety tests. He is due in Bridgeview court on May 17.

HOMEWOOD

April 12: Eduardo Ramos, 23, of the 900 block of Wingate Road in Olympia Fields, was charged with driving under the influence, DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08, driving with a suspend license and speeding, according to a report. Police said Ramos was traveling 60mph in a 35mph zone. He was stopped at about 1:50 a.m. near 18200 Halsted Street. An officer reported smelling a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. Ramos said he had a few drinks at Club 390 strip club before he was pulled over. He took field sobriety tests after being taken to the Homewood Police Department; he also submitted to a breath test for his blood-alcohol level. Ramos is due in Markham court on May 8.

April 12: Henry Magnobosco, 46, of the 1100 block of Elder Road in Homewood, was charged with driving under the influence and speeding, according to a report. Police said Magnobosco was spotted traveling at a high rate of speed at about 9:25 a.m. He was stopped near the intersection of Olive Road and Riegel Road. Magnobosco was arrested after performing field sobriety tests. He is due in Markham court on May 31.
