No Charges, Man Released After Police Chase, Gun Found: Oak Forest PD
A suspect taken into custody Wednesday afternoon was released, Oak Forest Police said.
OAK FOREST, IL — One suspect taken into custody but released without charges after three men crashed a stolen car in Oak Forest Wednesday, Oak Forest police said.
A gun believed to be carried by one of the suspects has also been recovered, Police Chief Jason Reid said.
Just after noon on Wednesday, police were pursuing three men who fled after crashing a stolen car near 159th and Central Avenue. The suspects fled south near a lagoon in Lagoon Park, police said, alerting the public that one was believed to be armed.

An hour after the crash, police took one person into custody and ended the search.
The man was later released, Reid said. Oak Forest police continue to follow up on several leads, he added.
