Teen Dies After Being Shot In Oak Forest: Police
The death of the 17-year-old boy is being investigated as a homicide, police said.
OAK FOREST, IL β Oak Forest police are investigating after a 17-year-old boy was found shot behind a building Saturday afternoon, and later died.
Police were called to 155th and Cicero Avenue just before 1:30 p.m., when they found the teen with a single gunshot wound. The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he later died, police said. Police declined to comment if the building where the teen was found was a residence or business.
The Oak Forest Police Investigations Unit and the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force are investigating the incident as a homicide. Anyone with information should contact Detective Sergeant Burnett at (708)687-1376.
