Gaelic Park's Irish Fest Back This Weekend

The fest returns to Gaelic Park in Oak Forest August 23–25. Tickets are available for purchase now.

OAK FOREST, IL — Chicago Gaelic Park's (CGP) Irish Fest is back for another year.

Set for Friday, August 23–Sunday, August 25, Irish Fest 2024 features three stages of music and dance. It also features a performing arts stage, a traditional Irish tea tent, wine tent, and the Leprechaun Tent with kid-friendly activities and entertainment, as well as shop and food vendors. Tickets are on sale now. Tickets bought in advance are $15 for one-day, $27 for two-day, and $36 for three-day. Children under 12 are free when unaccompanied by an adult with a paid ticket.

The music lineup includes first-time CGP Irish Fest performers: Uillean piper/whistle player/composer, Conor Mallon from Keady, Co. Armagh; the Co. Donegal-based modern folk group, Onóir; and the German born, Irish-based multi-instrumentalist/singer/songwriter, Sina Theil. The Byrne Brothers, a multi-award-winning family band from Co. Donegal, have performed at CGP before but will make their festival debut.

Irish Fest 2024 will see the return of JigJam, the renowned bluegrass and Americana quartet from Co. Offaly, as well as Gaelic Brew, a Cork-based Irish trad-rock band. Local musicians The Larkin & Moran Brothers, Liam Durkin, and The Dirty Wellies, will also perform your Irish favorites.

The inclusion of the rock cover band 4Cast and three tribute bands—One of These Nights (A Tribute to the Eagles and their Solo Work), Dancing Queen: An ABBA Salute, and An Irish Heartbeat: A Musical Tribute to Van Morrison—will be sure to please a wide range of musical tastes. The Bagpipes & Drums of the Emerald Society as well as The Shannon Rovers will also perform at Irish Fest 2024.
