A Tinley Park man faces drug possession charges after police allegedly recovered two stamps with LSD during an incident, according to an Oak Forest police report.
Christopher R.J. Mitchell, 19, of the 8100 block of Piute Trail in Tinley Park, was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
An officer on patrol spotted a dark-colored Chevrolet at about 10:29 p.m. on May 23 parked in the 58400 block of 158th Place with three people inside, according to the report. Police had received complaints about drug use in the area and interviewed the three men, the report stated.
An officer reported smelling burnt marijuana and asked the people inside to exit the Chevy.
Mitchell, who was a passenger, allegedly dropped a clear baggie that contained two blue paper stamps, the report stated. The stamps later tested positive for lysergic acid diethylamide, commonly known as LSD.
Mitchell was processed and taken to the 5th District Court Building in Bridgeview for a hearing.
