Vehicle Plunges Into Water, Driver Rescued: Oak Forest PD

A bystander and police helped the driver out of the water after a vehicle went into Twin Lakes at Midlothian Reservoir on Thursday night.

OAK FOREST, IL — The driver was able to get out of the water with the help of a bystander and police after a vehicle went into Twin Lakes at Midlothian Reservoir at 167th Street and Cicero Avenue, Oak Forest Police Chief Jason Reid told Patch Thursday night.

The passerby stopped to help the driver before police arrived at the scene, Reid said. After getting out of the water, the driver was taken to an area hospital after emergency crews arrived.

Police were working to remove the vehicle from Midlothian Reservoir and make sure there were no other occupants, Reid said.
