According to police, the woman's belongings were found in a car that was parked next to hers before it was stolen.
OAK FOREST, IL — A woman was carjacked earlier this month, but the person she said fled the gas station in her SUV left her valuables in another car nearby.
According to Oak Forest police, a woman was pumping gas at the Shell South on 167th Street June 8 when a man got into her car's driver's seat. When the woman went to confront him, police said the man pushed her to the ground and drove away.
After police arrived, officers said the woman's purse and wallet were found inside a car parked nearby hers before it was stolen. Her car was later found, still running, near the 7000 block of Sangamon Street in Chicago.
