A possibly intoxicated woman suffered a serious leg injury after she crashed into the former View Restaurant, Bridgeview police said.

BRIDGEVIEW, IL — A woman is in critical condition after she lost control of her car Tuesday evening and drove through a shuttered restaurant, Bridgeview police said.

Around 7 p.m., a car traveling west on Hartford east of Harlem was driving above the speed limit at 50 mph. Police said the driver apparently lost control and drove through the intersection and drove into the former View restaurant building, which was unoccupied.
