District 123 Update: Early Childhood Programs, Ongoing Screenings
Early Childhood Programs and Pre-K classes have adhered to district standards including frequent hand washing, wearing masks and other PPE.
The school day at District 123 looks a little bit different these days but that doesn’t mean students aren’t developing a passion for learning and making new friends along the way, even our youngest learners.
Early Childhood Programs and Pre-K classes have adhered to district standards including frequent hand washing, wearing masks and additional PPE, implementing social distancing strategies, and even screening all children upon arrival. Additional cleaning and disinfection efforts have been ongoing in the classrooms as well.

Each class is made up of a smaller class size to offer more options for social distancing. However, students can still get the most out of their day by playing tabletop learning games, enjoying circle time, and utilizing their Learning Center Activities (blocks, manipulatives, art, music, science/nature). Students also get the opportunity to take a break from the mask and enjoy a little outdoor time weather permitting.
Screenings are ongoing throughout the year for District 123 Early Childhood programs. For more information:
