Holiday Posada Combines Cultures Saturday at Chicago Ridge Mall
The holiday posada combines U.S. and Mexican Christmas customs Saturday, Dec. 14, featuring kids activities, music, tamales and more.
CHICAGO RIDGE, IL — Join Chicago Ridge Mall this Saturday, Dec. 14, for a Holiday Posada combining both the traditional U.S. and Mexican Christmas customs from noon to 4 p.m. at 95th Street and Ridgeland Avenue.
The mall’s first Holiday Posada takes place in front of Dick’s Sporting Goods. The free community event mixes the best of both cultures, featuring:
- Candy bags courtesy of Aguinado’s
- Piñata decor
- Tamale station
- Hot chocolate station
- Arts and crafts
- Balloon twisting
- Face painting
- Holiday photo booth
- Tinsel station
- Caricature drawings
- Raffles
Frosty the Snowman, Elf on the Shelf and Gingerbread Man are also expected to pop in.
