Classic Cars Take Over Oak Lawn Saturday And Sunday With 3 Big Shows

OAK LAWN, IL — Let the good times roll this weekend, when classic cars take over Oak Lawn. Three big shows are revving up Saturday, Sept. 13, at Paisan’s Pizzeria and the Knights of Columbus at Our Lady at St. Germaine’s, and Uncle Bud’s Sunday, Sept. 14.

Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus #14553 will be hosting a show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at St. Germaine Parish, 9711 S. Kolin Ave. The Knights will be handing out prizes for the best rides. The entry fee is $25.

Check-in is from 9:30 to 11 a.m., with judging starting at 11:30 a.m. Prizes will be awarded at 2 p.m. Spectator admission is fee. Food and beverages will be available for sale.

Proceeds will go to the Knights of Columbus charities, included persons with developmental disabilities, food for the homeless and single parent families who could use a boost.

Paisan’s Pizzeria and Bar

Paisan’s Pizzeria is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its Chicago-area restaurants this Saturday, Sept. 13, with a big show at its Oak Lawn location, 4900 W. 111th St.. The show runs from 3 to 9 p.m., featuring vintage rides, a throwback ‘80s set with DJ Hollywood, and live musicians.

Uncle Bud’s

Stop by Uncle Bud’s, 9700 S. Cicero Ave. (97th and Cicero) to see the Oak Lawn Batmobile and dozens of classic rides Sunday, Sept. 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Entry is free, with 1st ($150), 2nd ($100) and 3rd ($50) place prizes. Johnson-Phelps VFW Post 5220 will be holding raffles, with food and drink specials all day. Bears game comes on the big screen, with the Oak Lawn Fire Department stopping by at noon.
