Oak Lawn Residents Can Shred Sensitive Documents At Saturday Event

Volunteers will be shredding documents at the Oak Lawn Hometown Middle School at no cost to provide safe and secure disposal for residents.

OAK LAWN, IL — Local residents who have sensitive documents that need shredding will be able to do so for free at an event on Saturday that will offer the services at no cost.

Oak Lawn residents may bring up to two boxes of documents that need shredding to the Oak Lawn Hometown Middle School at 5345 W. 99th St. between 9-11 a.m. on Saturday. The event will be taking place in the south parking lot, which is located off Oak Center Drive.

Residents are asked to bring documents in paper bags or boxes and should not bring plastic bags, organizers said. Residents should have the boxes or bags in the trunk of their vehicle or in the back seat and a volunteer will remove them from the vehicle and then return the boxes or paper bags once the shredding is complete.
