Over 1,200 Without Power After Storm
In the wake of a strong thunderstorm Saturday, over 1,200 Oak Lawn residents have lost power, according to ComEd.

Oak Lawn residents are still without power nearly 24 hours after a severe thunderstorm with heavy rains and strong winds covered the south suburbs.
The majority of residents affected are around the following areas:
- W. 107th Street near Kostner Avenue, where about 858 customers lost power
- W. 106th Place near Cicero Avenue, where about 327 customers are without electricity
Others have lost power near W. 91st Place and 49th Avenue, as well as near 90th Street and 55th Avenue.

Causes for the outages are still being determined and ComEd is pulling more staff into the area to restore power.
As of 3 p.m. Sunday, ComEd has estimated that restoration should be complete by 4 p.m. Tuesday, August 7th.
