Teens: Zip Line, Canoe, Tree Climb in County Forests Thursday

Oak Lawn teens are invited to explore the Forest Preserves of Cook County on Thursday, Aug. 4 via a free, annual program.

Oak Lawn teens won't have to journey far Thursday to feed their sense of adventure.

All are invited to join on Aug. 4 for the Forest Preserve of Cook County's 4th Annual Teen Exploration Day. The event will highlight outdoor activities and education.

“This event has been highly successful with the support of our teen workers, the Youth Outdoor Ambassadors,” said Justin Mercer, program coordinator for the forest preserves. “Throughout the years, the Youth Outdoors Ambassadors have provided their input as well as the input of other teens to find out what it is that helps draw young people out to the Forest Preserves.”
