With a teaching legacy dating back to 1989, Mr. Stiles’ fashion training programs are offered at three established locations—Oak Park, Palos Hills, and Joliet—and attract dedicated students from across Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana who are seeking true professional garment-construction skills, not hobby-based instruction.
Morning and evening classes are available. You may start anytime from January through the end of March 2026. Enroll for 6 weeks (one day per week) and receive 1 extra class free — that’s 7 classes in total. If you attend two days per week, you’ll receive 14 classes instead of 12. Missed classes do not carry over. To receive this discount, you must register on or before January 7, 2026. Register now and save — don’t miss out!.
The methods taught reflect professional standards and techniques that are rarely accessible outside serious training environments. Students at all levels are welcome, from complete beginners who have never touched a sewing machine to advanced sewers and designers refining fit, precision, and high-level technique.
Instruction is intentionally structured to meet students where they are, while guiding them through a clear, progressive pathway toward industry-level execution and understanding. Each program is deliberately designed to produce measurable, career-relevant outcomes: controlled precision sewing, accurate fit, advanced garment construction, and professional tailoring methods.
Students gain the ability to work with confidence and intention—eliminating guesswork and developing skills that support career advancement, entrepreneurial pursuits, and long-term mastery.
To preserve the depth and quality of instruction, enrollment is intentionally limited by design. Programs reach capacity every semester, with waiting lists forming prior to public registration. Many students continue for multiple semesters, advancing through progressively higher levels of training as part of a sustained professional development path.
