Patricia Ochoa, Oak Park Township’s Intake and Benefits Specialist, is more than just a dedicated employee—she is a vital part of the Oak Park community. Having moved from downtown Chicago, Patricia was drawn to Oak Park's small-town charm, diversity, and the close-knit atmosphere that was missing in her previous city life. Her role, supported by her master’s degree and experience in Client Relations, has not only deepened her connection to the community but also solidified her desire to continue making Oak Park a great place to live.

Patricia’s involvement extends beyond her work. She actively participates in various community events, from cultural festivals to educational lectures, and is a member of both the Wellness & Communication Committees at Oak Park Township and the Oak Park-River Forest Chamber of Commerce. Her engagement in these activities has provided her with a unique perspective on the needs and aspirations of Oak Park residents. "Getting to know the people that live and work in my community through these events and gatherings has allowed me to understand the needs and wants of the residents in Oak Park," Patricia notes.
