D97 Teacher to Receive Blackhawks' 'Top Shelf' Honor at Jan. 12 Game

Linda Balicki, a fifth grade teacher from Irving Elementary School, has been selected by the Chicago Blackhawks and the University of Phoenix as the recipient of their Top-Shelf Teacher honor for the Hawks game on Sunday, Jan. 12, according to a message from Oak Park Elementary School District 97.

Through the Top-Shelf Teacher program, the Blackhawks and the University of Phoenix recognize one teacher from Illinois, Indiana or Wisconsin at each home game that "strives to make a positive impact in and around their classrooms." Learn more about the award at Blackhawks.nhl.com.
