Diamond Bracelet Stolen in Burglary: Police

Break-in

Someone stole some cash from an unlocked car in a garage in the 800 block of Wenonah Avenue between 7 p.m. Jan. 16 and 7 a.m. Jan. 17. The total estimated loss is $105, police said. 

Criminal Damage to Property

Police charged Michael Tischauser, 29, of the 500 block of Harvey Avenue in Oak Park, with criminal damage to property for a Jan. 11 offense in the 500 block of South Harvey Avenue. He was processed and released on bond. 

Marijuana Possesion

Police charged a male juvenile from Oak Park with marijuana possession at Oak Park and River Forest High School around noon. He was released to his guardian. 

Break-in

Someone broke into a garage in the 700 block of Home Avenue between 6 p.m. Jan. 16 and 7 a.m. Jan. 17. Nothing was stolen. 

Window Broken

Someone used a speaker to break a window in the 800 block of South Kenilworth Avenue between 2 p.m. Jan. 16 and 2 p.m. Jan. 17. The total estimated loss is $100, police said. 

Power Drill Stolen

Someone stole a power drill from a garage in the 800 block of Home Avenue between 11 p.m. Jan. 16 and 7 a.m. Jan. 17. The total estimated loss is $200, police said. 

$10,000 in Jewels, Cash Stolen 

Someone stole a diamond bracelet, a watch and cash from a home in the 900 block of North Boulevard between 10 p.m. Jan. 15 and 1 a.m. Jan. 17. The total estimated loss is $10,400, police said. 

Car Part Stolen

Someone stole the catalytic converter from a car in the 200 block of North Austin Boulevard between 6 p.m. Jan. 16 and 3:30 p.m. Jan. 17. The total estimated loss is $200, police said. 

Deceptive Practice Arrest

Police charged Justin Johnson, 30, of Chicago, with deceptive practice and a warrant from Northwestern University for criminal trespass to real property at Fitness Formula Club around 4 p.m. He was processed and held on bond.
