District 90 Back To Remote Learning As Restrictions Increase
District 90 pivots back to remote learning until next month amid Gov. J.B. Pritzker's recent strict orders due to the coronavirus pandemic.
RIVER FOREST, IL — On Wednesday, River Forest School District 90 began an "Adaptive Pause" and returned to remote learning for all students for the next two weeks due to Gov. J.B. Pritzker's recent strict orders amid increasing hospitalizations positive cases of the coronavirus. According to a news release from District 90, this decision to transition District 90 schools back to remote learning comes after the governor's announcement about the coronavirus mitigation procedures for restaurants and bars in Regions 4 (Metro East area of Illinois) and 10 (Suburban Cook County) under the Restore Illinois Plan.
The governor's order calls for more restrictions limiting operations for restaurants and bars, and expanded limits on meetings and other gatherings, the news release said.

District 90's “Adaptive Pause” pivot to remote learning run until Nov. 11, however students are not scheduled to return to in-person instruction until Nov. 16 due to previously scheduled parent/teacher conferences and a student non-attendance day, according to the district.

The district added that final dates for returning to in-person learning may be revised due to changing circumstances or conditions.
