How do you know your graduating student nominee?

He is my son

Tell us why they deserve to be nominated!

He is an awesome kid. Not an A student, but a B student. B students don't win all the awards, but he deserves to be recognized for working hard to maintain good grades, always showing respect to his instructors, his friends, neighbors and his parents.

He stayed out of trouble, volunteered at Beyond Hunger, worked a part-time job, and played football with all his heart, earning him a great scholarship for college! These are things we, as his parents, expected from him, and we feel he deserves to be recognized for not giving in to peer pressures, honoring God in all he does, and staying positive in trying moments.

Very often, the kids who struggle and do well in school and don't cause problems and do what's expected get overlooked unless something bad happens. They then get negative attention. But if they're not Super Student, they're ignored also. Sometimes, these kids should be celebrated as well. They need encouragement as well.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about your graduating student nominee?

David is a big guy that you may be intimidated by if running into him on an isolated dark street, but he is gentle, kind and friendly- unless you mean him harm. 😀
