RIVER GROVE, IL — A letter carrier was the victim of an armed robbery this week in River Grove, according to authorities.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the robbers, the agency announced.

The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 8700 block of West Richard Street, authorities said, adding the four suspects, who are considered armed and dangerous, fled the scene in a silver Hyundai sedan.

Anyone with information is asked to call the inspection service at 1-877-876-2455, say “law enforcement” and reference case No. 3681116. All information will remain confidential, the agency said.
