1. Local police are investigating after hundreds of Oak Park residents made calls complaining of loud noise Thursday night. NBC Chicago reports 911 calls were made about the “loud drumming bass sound” from across the village and even into the Chicago area. Calls about the “excessively loud music” lasted about two hours, according to NBC. (NBC)

2. Chicago Mayor-Elect Brandon Johnson attended his last Cook County Board meeting as commissioner of the first district Thursday. The Tribune reports he plans to resign in early May, after which Oak Park Senator Don Harmon and other Democratic leaders will have 30 days to name a replacement. (Yahoo)
3. The deadline is approaching to send appeals of property valuations to the Cook County Assessor. Assistance is available through Oak Park Township Assessor Ali ElSaffar’s office. The process ends May 15. (Oak Park Township)
