Oak Park Chipotle Partners with Non Profit to Help Feed Children

A fundraising event held March 23 will help purchase food to be packed by local volunteers.

Oak Park, IL - On March 23, the Chipotle restaurant located at 1128 Lake Street in Oak Park will donate 50 percent of the proceeds of each order purchased by customers who mention Feed My Starving Children to the cashier when paying for their meal.

This “Cause an Effect and Make Lunch or Dinner a Selfless Act” fundraiser will help pay for the 100,000 meals to be packed by 500 volunteers from the Oak Park/River Forest community on April 16 in Concordia University’s South Gym.

The meals will feed children in danger of dying from starvation and malnutrition through Feed My Starving Children, a non-profit targeting the neediest of children in 70 countries throughout the world.

“We are so grateful to Chipotle for helping us raise funds to pay for the food we will be packing” said Carole Morey, one of the event’s organizers. “We are hoping the Oak Park and River Forest community will support the Mobile Pack by dining in or taking out from Chipotle on March 23.

In order for Chipotle to make the donation, the customer must mention Feed My Starving Children to the cashier when paying for the food.”
