Oak Park Police Reports: Car Burglary, Trespass, Theft
Oak Park police reported crimes from July 8 to 11.

The following information is from the Oak Park Police Department.
Someone entered a black 2005 Dodge between July 7 and 8 by breaking the front passenger door glass and removed a black phone charger, a white iPhone cord and coins from the center console in the 1200 block of N Linden Avenue. The estimated loss is $343.
Someone entered a black 2012 Jeep between July 7 and 8 through an unlocked front driver’s door and removed a black .40 caliber Springfield XD semi-automatic hand gun from the console attached to the dashboard in the 1100 block of Columbian Avenue. The estimated loss is $500.

Hakeem Al-Uqdah, 18 of the 400 block of S. Clinton in Oak Park, and Joshua K. Hodogbey, 18 of the 1500 block of N. Harlem in River Forest, were taken into custody July 8 after they were found in the victim’s basement without permission in the 1100 block of Paulina. The arrestees were taken to the station, processed and released after posting bond.
Someone removed a black leather wallet between July 6 and 7 containing cash that was on top of a dresser inside a bedroom in the 600 block of S. Harvey. The estimated loss is $300.

Someone removed a charcoal and black 8.20 DS Trek bicycle July 8, which was secured with a cable lock, from a bike rack in the 1200 block of N. Harlem. The estimated loss is $500.
A black 2016 Hyundai Sonata, which was reported stolen on April 28, was recovered July 3 by Chicago police in the 200 block of N. Latrobe in Chicago, and one person was apprehended.
Clifford Perkins, 55 of the 100 block of N. Mayfield in Chicago, was identified as the person who was seen July 8 concealing unknown merchandise in his clothing before passing the last point of purchase at a store in the 300 block of W. Madison without paying for the items.
Someone removed an unattended and lost wallet between July 8 and 9 containing miscellaneous cards and ID in the 800 block of Lake. The estimated loss is $50.
Freddie J. Polk, 34 of the 2700 block of W. Harrison in Chicago, was arrested July 10 in the 6400 block of North Avenue on an active warrant out of Forest Park and released into their custody.
Someone removed the Illinois License plate sticker between July 7 and 9 from a 2009 white BMW in the 1000 block of Susan Collins Lane. The estimated loss is $101.
