Oak Park Township Seeks Applicants for Vacant Trustee Position

Oak Park, IL – August 26, 2024 – The Oak Park Township Board of Trustees is
pleased to announce the opening of the application process for the vacant trustee
position created by the appointment of Timothy Thomas as Township Supervisor. The
Board is seeking qualified and dedicated individuals from the community to fill this
vacancy for the remainder of Mr. Thomas’s unexpired term.

The application process will officially open today, Monday, August 26, 2024. Interested
candidates are encouraged to submit their applications and resumes by 4:00 PM on
Wednesday, September 18, 2024. All submitted applications will be carefully reviewed
by the Board of Trustees, which will then determine a list of candidates to interview
during their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.

Interviews with the selected candidates will be conducted during a special meeting
scheduled for the week of Monday, September 30, 2024. The Board anticipates making
a final appointment at their regular meeting on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.

This is an excellent opportunity for residents who are passionate about serving the Oak
Park community and contributing to the governance and strategic direction of the
Township. The appointed trustee will work alongside the current Board members to
address key issues and ensure the continued delivery of essential services to residents.

Applications can be obtained from the Oak Park Township office or downloaded from
the home page of the Township’s official website. Completed applications with resume
must be submitted to the Township Clerk at dburtincox@oakparktownship.org by the
4:00pm on September 18, 2024.
