A resolution seeks to establish April 12 as Pay Equity Day in Illinois.

Submitted by the Office of Rep. Camille Lilly.
Oak Park, IL - State Rep. Camille Lilly, D-Chicago, is co-sponsoring House Resolution 1021, designating April 12 as Pay Equity Day in Illinois, which seeks to raise awareness about the continuing pay gap between men and women.
“As we continue to fight for equal pay for equal work between men and women, this legislation will allow us to maintain our commitment to this cause,” said Lilly. “While I believe this disparaging issue should not exist in our society today, by enacting this measure we would be one step closer to closing the gap and righting a long overdue wrong.”
