While the Park District's preference is to open our youth basketball games to spectators, the Park District must follow CDC, IDPH and ISBE guidelines requiring masks to be worn indoors and maintain 6' social distance. With the exception of the Trinity gymnasium, there is limited to no spectator space available to accommodate social distancing for spectators. With 450+ players in the league, managing spectator attendance in adherence to all pandemic guidelines is challenging. It is our responsibility to respect the safety of our participants and the students who use these gym facilities during the week. With all these variables to consider, all parties agreed that limiting program access to coaches and players was determined the best option.
