River Forest police arrest man with weapon, fireworks and marijuana.

The following arrest information was supplied by the River Forest Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Unlawful Use of a Weapon and more

Emmanuel Hernandez, 20, of Elmwood Park was arrested June 21 for unlawful use of a weapon, possession of fireworks, possession of cannabis, possession of fireworks and several traffic offenses, according to River Forest police reports.

Hernandez was observed by police making several traffic violations in the 600 block of Harlem Avenue, according to the report. After police stopped him, police observed in plain view several packages of illegal fireworks and a dark colored firearm which turned out to be a starter’s pistol. Further investigation showed he was also in possession of a six-inch knife, a small amount of cannabis and a glass pipe.

DUI and more

Eric E. Robersen, 23, of Chicago was arrested June 21 for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended license and several traffic offenses, according to River Forest police reports.

Police observed Robersen commit several violations in the 7500 block of North Avenue and observed signs of intoxication after stopping him. He failed a field sobriety test and refused a breath test. A computer check revealed his driver’s license was suspended.

Theft

Payment was never received by a River Forest person who sold a computer on E-bay for $1,375 to a buyer in Iowa, according to a June 19 River Forest police report. The victim sold the computer, it was delivered but payment was never received. The matter is being investigated by United States postal inspectors.
