1. A man was assaulted and robbed last week in the parking lot of the Forest Park Blue Line station, the Review reports. He was treated at Rush Oak Park Hospital. Police said he claims he knew the attackers. (Review)

2. Trustees voted Monday not to update zoning restrictions for Rush Oak Park Hospital, the Wednesday Journal reports. A group of neighbors brought the proposal to the Village Plan Commission “to prevent hospital encroachment upon residential properties,” but it was denied. (Wednesday Journal)

3. Oak Park resident Jeremy Daniel will serve as a federal district court judge following U.S. Senate approval, according to the Oak Leaves. Daniel will begin hearing cases in the Northern District of Illinois after President Joe Biden confirms his role. 4. The Children’s School is expected to move to the First Baptist Church property this fall, according to the Journal. The school is being forced to relocate from St. Edmund after the Archdiocese of Chicago denied their lease renewal. (Wednesday Journal)
