1. More than 700 flights were canceled Thursday out of Chicago’s airports due to blizzard conditions. Several school districts also closed early yesterday due to the heavy snow and extreme cold. (Patch)

2. Oak Park’s emergency snow rules are now in effect due to the continuing winter storm. Parking is prohibited on snow routes when more than two inches of snow falls. (VOP)
