Street Racing Arrests, Serial Drunk Driver, Over-the-Counter Thief: River Forest Cops

The River Forest police have been busy.

The following items were taken from the River Forest police blotter. Arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Aggravated DUI

  • Aileen Maldonado, 34, a River Grove resident, was arrested at 1:30 a.m. Feb. 1 after a River Forest cop saw her violate several traffic laws while she was driving around North and Lanthrop Avenues. The officer who stopped her reported he smelled alcohol and burnt marijuana in her car and that she failed several field sobriety tests before being arrested. Maldonado reportedly refused to submit to a breathalyzer test. She was ultimately charged with the DUI, having marijuana and open alcohol in her car and a handful of traffic violations. Cops said they had to contact the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Felony Review Unit because Maldonado had already been arrested three times prior for DUIs.
