Yoga & Music Event in Berwyn Thursday Feb 29

Music & Potlucks presents "Yoga, Wine & Song" on Thursday, February 29 at 6:00 pm At Friendly's 6731 Roosevelt Rd in Berwyn IL

Music & Potlucks, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
presents “Yoga, Wine & Song” on Thursday, February 29 at 6:00 pm. The live event
takes place in the Friendly Music Community Room, 6731 Roosevelt Road In Berwyn, IL
Participants can also register to receive the live stream ZOOM link through www.musicandpotlucks.org.

The program features a 45 minute session of gentle yoga led by certified
yoga instructor Marianne Mohrhusen of Brookfield followed an acoustic
mini-concert by Midwest troubadour Mark Dvorak. Light snacks will be provided
and refreshments are available for purchase.

“It’s our happy hour event,” said Music & Potlucks director Stephanie
Schrodt of River Forest. "For the last year we’ve been presenting Yoga,
Wine & Song live stream. We’ve joined by people from as far away as
Columbia, South America, Florida, Colorado and the east coast. We decided to
approach Rob Pierce at the Friendly Music Community about doing the program
live and in person, and he jumped at the chance.”

The Friendly Music Community consists of a bar, The Friendly Tap,
established by Pierce in 2007, the Friendly Coffee Lounge just next door, the
Friendly Music School on the second floor and the newly renovated Community
Room.

“We’re in the business of attraction,” said Pierce. “Our goal is to create a
space where people of all ages can gather for music, for lessons or for a cup
of coffee. We just love working with Music & Potlucks. They do incredible
work in the community and their mission and ours are pretty much in alignment.”

The Oak Park River Forest area based Music & Potlucks has presented more
than 125 live and live stream events since March of 2017 and has raised
thousands of dollars for agencies who serve those need: Helping Hand, Share
Food Share Love Food Pantry, Housing Forward, Beyond Hunger Food Pantry, the
West Suburban Community Pantry, the Frank Hamilton School, the Old Town School
of Folk Music Employee Support Fund and many others.

Registration is $10 donations to Music & Potlucks will be accepted. To
